You are a small business owner, but you don’t want to customers to know just how small. An online telephone system may be the perfect solution.

As a small business owner, you know the importance of being seen as successful, competent, and legitimate. Nothing can send the wrong message like an afternoon client call answered by your six year old home from school. You need a telephone system, but you don’t want a big telephone bill.

Over on Kim Komando‘s site, is a good piece on internet telephone systems. While Kim primarily promotes eVoice, there are other quality providers. Ring Central is a great option, and includes fax service (Yes, there are still a few using it.)

These systems are easy to set up, usually provide extension options, and voice mail. Many allow the option to set “office hours” so calls shoot to voice mail during specified hours.
